Casting On Tape and E-Casting

Actors eligible to be cast on a project are proposed to the director on the basis of demo material provided by the acting agencies. Recently, e-castings have also grown in importance: The candidates record themselves as they interpret one or two given scenes and send it to production to be inspected. In these two methods, unlike other casting processes, the director does not work with the candidates himself, but decides on the basis of the filmed material.
